It’s been a long year, and Australians are renowned for hitting the highway and heading for the coast every chance we get. With only a couple of weeks before Christmas there’s not much time left to get yourself and your car organised, so here are a few things that should be on your To-Do List.
- Car Service & Tyre check – Have you been putting off getting the car service done, or having your tyres checked, because you’ve been so busy with work? If you’ve got travel plans in the car, pre-Christmas is a great time to get the car looked at so that you’re sure everything is in good working order before you hit the road. Touch base with your regular dealership or mechanic and see if they can squeeze you in before the break. Remember, many service centres either close or work with reduced staff during the holiday period.
- Do you have Roadside Assist? – Most new cars come with at least 12 months of free roadside assistance, which at the end of the period needs to be renewed. There is nothing worse that having an issue with your car while on holidays and not being covered for emergency assistance if you need it. - Download the Prosperity Salary Packaging App – It has a range of information available including links to the Smart Drive portal, where you can check your balance and lodge any expense claims from your phone, and a link to the WEX card locations page – to help you find the closest affiliated service centre.
